During the french revolution, Louis Marie was exiled to Madagascar, Reunion and Mauritius where he discovered vast array of plant specimens. 200 years later Marie Petit Thouars built Maison Louis Marie, building upon the rich botanical history of her family. The focus is illustrious scents inspired by memories of childhood in Belgium.
No. 4 is a sandalwood fragrance with a dominant sandalwood & cedar wood top note supplemented by a spicy nutmeg cinnamon complex with earthy vetiver notes. According to the NYtimes T magazine, "a fragrance that smells remarkably warm like fig, yet also light and earthy..." A true cult classic.
